Our goal

We work toward Level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2. That is our goal, and we do not claim the site meets every part of it. No independent auditor has reviewed the site yet.

What we have done

• Keyboard. The menus, forms and questions work with a keyboard, and the keyboard focus is marked. A link at the top of each page skips to the content.
• Text and contrast. Body text is large, and we check text color against the AA contrast ratio. Text over photographs is checked by eye.
• Zoom and small screens. Pages reflow down to 320 pixels wide without scrolling sideways. Wide tables stack on phones, with a label on each value.
• Forms. Each field has a label. Errors are described in words next to the field.
• Images. Every image has a text description, or is marked as decoration when it adds no information.
• Motion. If your device asks for reduced motion, animations stop.
• Structure. Pages use real headings, lists and tables. Before we publish, we check every page for a single main heading and for image descriptions.

What we have not done yet

We have not tested the site with people who use screen readers or other assistive technology. Some photographs come from older, small files, and they can look soft when enlarged.
