Terms of use and legal notices

In shortThis site gives general information about our training. Your course is agreed with us directly. Nothing here is flight instruction, legal advice or insurance advice.

Who we are

Access Flight Training Services LLC is based in Northeast Ohio. Mailing address: PO Box 1234, Willoughby, OH 44096. Telephone (855) 747-1200. Email paul@accessfts.com. By using this site you agree to these terms.

Using this site

You may read this site, link to it and quote short passages with a link back. Please do not send false requests, interfere with how the site runs, or use it for anything unlawful.

Aviation information

Articles, tables and answers on this site are general information for pilots. They do not replace your Airplane Flight Manual or POH, current FAA regulations, your instructor's judgment or your policy. Regulations and data sheets change, and limits vary by serial number and modification. Check the current source before you rely on anything here. As pilot in command, you remain directly responsible for the operation of your aircraft (14 CFR 91.3). Flying and flight training carry real risks, including serious injury, and no course or instructor can remove them.

FAA status

Training is conducted under 14 CFR Part 61 by FAA-certificated flight instructors, who work with Access as independent contractors. Access is not FAA-approved and is not a Part 141 or Part 142 school, and the FAA has not approved this site or its courses. A course does not by itself give you a rating. An instructor signs an endorsement, an instrument proficiency check or a flight review only when you meet the standard.

Insurance

We are not an insurance company, agent or broker, and nothing on this site is insurance advice. The underwriters we name are ones that have approved our courses or underwritten completed training. Each underwriter decides for each pilot and aircraft. We do not guarantee that any underwriter will accept our training or any result on your policy. Confirm with your broker before you book.

Who can train with us

Federal law requires us to confirm eligibility before any flight training, including recurrent training. US citizens and nationals show government-issued proof. Other candidates generally need a determination of eligibility from TSA first (49 CFR 1552.7).

Tuition and courses

Prices are in US dollars and are the published tuition for the course. Published tuition takes effect January 1, 2027, and courses before then are at the current rate. Tuition is the same at your location or at ours. Travel expenses are added when the instructor comes to you, and they vary by location. Your aircraft's fuel and operating cost are yours. Course length and flight hours are typical figures and depend on you, the aircraft and the weather.

We do not ask for payment before training. You can pay by check, ACH bank transfer, Zelle or credit card, and credit cards carry a 3% fee. Training happens in your aircraft, and you are responsible for keeping it airworthy (14 CFR 91.403). Before training, we must receive your completed Pilot Enrollment form, your instructor must be added to the aircraft's insurance policy for the training period, and we must receive a certificate of insurance showing Access Flight Training Services LLC as an additional insured, with a waiver of subrogation.

Prices can change. A request sent through this site does not create a contract. The price and terms in the Flight Training Transmittal we send you, our written confirmation of your course, are the ones that apply.

Names of aircraft, airlines and insurers

Aircraft names and model designations belong to their owners, including Textron Aviation, Pilatus, Daher and Piper. We use them only to identify the aircraft we train in. We are not affiliated with, authorized by or endorsed by any manufacturer, airline or insurer named on this site. When we say an instructor flies for an airline, that airline does not sponsor our courses.

Text, photographs and drawings on this site belong to Access Flight Training Services LLC or to those who let us use them. The Access logo is our mark.

We link to other sites for your reference. We do not control them and are not responsible for what they say.

No warranties and limits on liability

This site is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, Access Flight Training Services LLC is not liable for damages that come from using this site or relying on its general information. These limits apply only as far as your state's law allows. If you live in New Jersey, the limits in this section do not apply to you. Nothing here removes rights that your state's law gives you. Your course may have its own terms.

Governing law

The laws of the State of Ohio govern these terms, without regard to rules on conflict of laws.
