This notice describes what the website accessfts.com actually does. It applies to visitors in the United States.
What we collect
| What | Where it comes from | What we use it for |
|---|---|---|
| Name, email, and phone if you give one | You, on the request form | To answer your request |
| Aircraft, course, home airport, underwriter deadline and your message | You, on the request form | To tell you availability and travel expenses, and to prepare your course documents |
| How you reached the site: the first page you saw, the domain of the site that sent you, campaign tags in the link, the button you used, the pages you read and the questions you opened | Your browser. It goes to us only if you send the form | To answer you with context, to see which pages help, and to give each request a simple priority so urgent ones get answered first |
| Internet address (IP) and browser details | Your browser, in the server logs of the company that hosts the site | To deliver pages and keep the site running |
The numbers you type into the tuition calculator and the plan you make on the home page stay on your device. If you continue to the form, the aircraft and the airport you picked from our list travel in the address of that page, which can appear in the hosting company's logs. The site does not ask for Social Security numbers or payment card numbers. Please do not put them in the message box.
Who receives it
- Access Flight Training Services and its instructors. The people who answer training requests, and the independent contractor instructors who work on your course.
- Companies that run our systems for us. The company that hosts the site, the email delivery service that carries the form, Google, which hosts our email, and the agency that builds and maintains the site, which can receive a copy of requests to check that the form works and to measure which pages help. They process your information to provide those services to us.
- Your broker or underwriter, if you ask us. When you ask us to send your syllabus and instructor credentials, we send what that takes.
- A buyer or successor, if Access is ever sold or reorganized. This notice would still apply to what you already sent us.
- Government agencies or others, when the law requires it or when we need it to protect people or our legal rights.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for targeted advertising, and we do not give it to other companies for their own marketing. That includes the sale of covered information under Nevada law and disclosure for direct marketing under California Civil Code 1798.83.
We use your phone number and email to answer your request. We do not send marketing texts or automated calls from this form.
What is stored on your device
The site keeps the note on how you reached it in your browser's localStorage. It is not a cookie, and it leaves your device only if you send the form.
| Names in your browser | What they hold | How long |
|---|---|---|
fy_landing, fy_ruta, fy_faq, fy_cta, fy_sess_ts | First page, pages read, questions opened, button used, time of your last page | This visit. Cleared when you return after 15 minutes without activity |
fy_gclid, fy_utm_*, fy_ref, fy_ts | Ad click number and campaign tags in the link, domain of the site that sent you, time of your first visit | Used for 90 days, then ignored. They stay in your browser until you clear them |
You can delete all of it from your browser's site data settings.
Analytics and tracking by others
The site does not currently load analytics, advertising tags or session recording, and it sets no cookies. No other party collects information about your activity over time and across other websites through this site.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or a Do Not Track signal, the site treats it as a request not to be tracked. It loads no analytics or session recording service and writes nothing to your device. The note on how you reached the site then stays in memory for that page only, and the form still works. You can read how Global Privacy Control works at globalprivacycontrol.org.
If your device's time zone or language points to Europe or the UK, the site behaves the same way.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what information we have about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Write to paul@accessfts.com or call (855) 747-1200. We will confirm the request comes from you, using the email or phone you gave us, and answer within 45 days. We delete what you ask us to, unless the law requires us to keep it. If we decline a request, we will tell you why, and you can ask us to look at it again. We will not treat you differently for asking.
Several states give residents specific privacy rights by law. Which laws apply depends on the size of the business. We answer the requests above from anyone in the United States.
Nevada residents: we do not sell covered information as Nevada law defines it. To send a request under NRS 603A.345, write to paul@accessfts.com.
Children
This site is for pilots and aircraft owners and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, tell us and we will delete it.
How long we keep it
We keep training requests in our email for as long as we need them to serve you and to keep our business records. Ask us and we will delete yours, unless the law requires us to keep it.
If you train with us
This notice covers the website. When you train with us, you also fill out a Pilot Enrollment form, your broker sends us a certificate of insurance, and we keep course and instruction records. We do not share what you put on that form outside Access and your instructor, unless the law requires it. For example, TSA can ask to inspect and copy flight training records (49 CFR 1552.15). We keep training records in paper files for at least 8 years. Federal law requires flight training providers to confirm eligibility before any flight training: we must examine government-issued proof of US citizenship or nationality, or confirm that TSA has issued a determination of eligibility, and we must keep records of it, generally for at least 5 years (49 CFR 1552.7 and 1552.15).
Security
The form travels over an encrypted connection. No system is perfectly secure, so please leave sensitive details out of your message. If a breach ever affected your information, we would notify you as the law requires.
Links to other sites
We link to the FAA, regulations, brokers and other sites. Their privacy practices are their own.

When we change this notice, we post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change is material, we also say so at the top of this page. If we add analytics or another service, this notice changes first.
