Cessna 310 and 402 training
This page covers Cessna's unpressurized cabin twins and the centerline-thrust Skymaster, and they are not one airplane. A 310 is a light cabin twin, a 401 or 402 is a heavier cabin-class airplane often flown with passengers or freight, and a 337 has one engine in front and one behind. We build the syllabus around the airplane you actually have, and the engine-out discussion is different for each.

Tuition shown takes effect January 1, 2027. Courses before then are at the current rate, so ask us.

Cessna 310, 337, 401 and 402 training questions
How much does Cessna 310, 337, 401 and 402 training cost?
Cessna 310, 337, 401 and 402 initial training is $3,050 and recurrent is $1,800, delivered in your own aircraft at your airport or at ours. Tuition is the same in both places. Travel expenses are added when we come to you, and your aircraft's fuel and operating cost during the flight hours is yours.
Do I need a type rating for the Cessna 310, 337, 401 and 402?
No. These models are well under 12,500 lb.
Does the Cessna 310, 337, 401 and 402 need a high altitude endorsement?
Not for the unpressurized models. If you fly a pressurized 411, check your AFM: the rule in 14 CFR 61.31(g) applies when the lower of service ceiling and maximum operating altitude is above 25,000 feet.
Will my underwriter accept Cessna 310, 337, 401 and 402 training in my own aircraft?
That is your underwriter's decision, for your experience and limits. Ask your broker first. We can send the aircraft-specific syllabus and CFII credentials to help them decide.
Is there a formal recurrent program for a 337?
The CE-337 Skymaster is on our eligible aircraft list, and each syllabus is aircraft specific. Ask us about it, and confirm with your broker that it meets your policy.
